Belgium to France - Antwerp

As we wandered about in Antwerp, there were numerous cafes and chocolate shops to visit! We started to notice a number of buildings displaying statues of Mary and Child. Apparently this is a legacy from the time of Spanish rule, when a fanatical devotion to the Virgin Mary developed in Antwerp.
